Huehuetenango

CHF12.85

Huehuetenango is one of Guatemala’s three non-volcanic regions, as well as its highest and driest. Warm air currents from the Tehuantepec plains (Mexico) mix here with cool air descending from the Cuchumatanes Mountains, creating a frost-free microclimate. Being very remote, producers process their own coffee, helped by the region’s many rivers. This washed SHB EP lot (grown above 1,350 m and hand-sorted) brings together four producers: Lety Anzueto (Finca Isnul), Lety Perez (Finca Buenos Aires Huixoc), René Perez (Finca La Reforma) and Willy Perez (Fincas Las Americas and San Antonio). Our medium roast reveals notes of almond, cocoa and stone fruit, with a delicate acidity. Enjoy it as an espresso!
