Kamwangi – Light Roast

CHF17.90

The Kamwangi washing station is located in Kirinyaga County, on the slopes of Mount Kenya. It is one of three factories managed by the New Ngariama cooperative, which brings together around 1,500 smallholders growing SL28, Ruiru 11 and Batian between 1,600 and 2,000 metres above sea level. The rich volcanic soils and cool nights allow the cherries to ripen slowly, producing dense beans with a pronounced acidity. After hand sorting, the cherries are pulped and fermented for 24 to 36 hours, then washed, graded by density and sun-dried on African beds for 12 to 20 days. Our light roast reveals aromas of redcurrant and hibiscus, with a bright acidity. Best enjoyed with filter brewing methods!
